Dill (Anethum graveolens)
About:
Dill works well in containers or smaller herb gardens. This dill has fragrant, lacy foliage, large yellow flower heads, and large seeds, but the plants only grow about waist high. May very well attract swallowtail butterfly caterpillars to your garden!
Sun/Soil
Grows well in most conditions and is easy to maintain. It will readily self-seed so you will have dill the following year.
Culinary Uses
Dill has so many wonderful uses! The leaves/fronds and stalks are used to flavour soups, soup stock, salads, sauces, breads and other savoury dishes. Dill is of course used to flavour pickles and ferments (dill leaves, stalks and/or seeds).
Medicinal Uses
Traditional uses include using dill for fevers, colds, coughs, as well as digestive upset (dill seeds).
Organically grown, with certified organic seeds and organic soil. Comes in a compostable pot.
Curbside pick-up at Little City Farm. We will email you with pick-up dates.
