locally ECOLOGICALLY GROWN herbs

What does our herb farm offer?  From our field to your kitchen...

We are a small-scale herb farm, growing ecologically and harvesting herbs at their peak.  You can see, smell and taste the difference, with vibrant locally grown small-batch herbs.  We grow more than 50 varieties of medicinal & culinary herbs, as well as saving seeds and growing spring seedlings.  We use only ecological techniques to grow all our herbs, never using any pesticides, chemicals or GMOs.  Using human-scale farming we are able to build a relationship to every plant we grow and harvest, knowing we are bringing the highest quality product to you.

What we offer:
1) LEARNING GARDENS & WORKSHOPS - We are developing small-scale herbal learning gardens here at Swallowtail Farmstead so that we can share these herbs with you through workshops and other hands-on learning opportunities.
2) HERBAL TEAS & KITS - We offer a small variety farmgrown dried herbal teas & DIY herbal kits, prepared by hand in small batches, using the plants we have lovingly grown and harvested at their peak.
3) FRESH HERB SHARES - 12 WEEK HERB CSA - 3 big bunches of fresh culinary & tea herbs each week to compliment your veggies, with flavour & nutrition.  12 weeks from July-Sept.  Pick up at our farm on Fridays, or delivery/pick-up options in Winnipeg Tuesdays.
We are grateful for all those who have saved seeds, tended land, and passed on plant knowledge before us. We live on Treaty 1 territory, traditional territory of the Anishanaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene Peoples, and the National Homeland of the Red River Metis.
As a small act of reparation a portion of our farm proceeds is donated to Indigenous-led food security programs in Manitoba.

For all Farm Store orders you will receive an email with specific pick-up / delivery details.
