Micro Sourdough Bakery at Swallowtail Farmstead
We have a "micro-bakery" based at our farm, making a variety of small-batch artisan organic baked goods. Each week we offer a rotation sourdough breads, as well as granola, wholesome cookies, and seasonal fruit pies.
Our baked goods are CURRENTLY ONLY AVAILABLE AT OUR FARMER'S MARKET BOOTH & FOR CSA MEMBERS.
CSA MEMBERS - ORDER BY SUNDAY 6 PM FOR THAT WEEK PICK-UP/DELIVERY
All our bread is made with sourdough cultures and long natural fermentation, for added nutrition and digestability for you. We only use organic Manitoba grown flour, grains and seeds, local honey, Bothwell cheese, herbs from our farm, and local eggs. Our pies feature hand-picked Manitoba berries and fruit, as well as pumpkins and berries from our own farm. We like to include our own farm fresh eggs, herbs, vegetables and berries into our baking whenever we can. Non-locally sourced ingredients like mineral-rich sea salt, olive oil, raisins and chocolate are high quality and organic.
