About:
Delicious, sweet (anise) flavoured plant with so many uses - culinary and medicinal. The seeds, fronds, stalk and bulb are all edible. Fennel also attracts butterflies, so is a great addition to any garden!
Sun/Soil
Grows best in rich soil that is well-drained. It prefers full sun.
Culinary Uses
The fennel bulb can be eaten fresh/raw, roasted or steamed. It is delicious chopped fresh into summer salads. Fennel fronds and stalk make a wonderful addition to soup stocks. Fennel tea makes a lovely after-dinner digestive drink.
Medicinal Uses
Use the seeds (fresh or dried) for tea to ease digestive complaints, or chew on a few fennel seeds after dinner to sweeten the breath and aid digestion. Can be made into tea, honey, syrup, digestive bitter, tincture.
Comes in a compostable pot, hardened off and ready to plant. Grown with organic seed and organic soil.
