About:
Tulsi (or Sacred Basil / Holy Basil) is a lovely plant, traditionally grown outside of temples in India as it was a revered plant used for thousands of years in Ayurveda as a diverse healing plant. In North American it is grown as an aromatic annual plant, harvested similar to basil (pinching leaves to keep from going to seed, and encourage bushy plant growth).
Sun/Soil
Tulsi prefers continuous warm conditions to grow best. Plant in full sun (ideally 6 hours of sun per day).
Culinary Uses
Tulsi is mainly used as a medicinal plant, but it can be made into teas, juices or syrups for a refreshing drink.
Medicinal Uses
Can be used as a daily tonic in a tea infusion, or medicinally for colds, flu, fever, stress, acne, headaches, sore throats, and so much more. It has anti-inflammatory properties, to help lower inflammation levelsin the body.
Comes in a compostable pot, hardened off and ready to plant. Grown with organic seed and organic soil.
