Micro-Bakery at Swallowtail Farmstead
We have a "micro-bakery" based at our farm, making a variety of small-batch artisan organic baked goods. We offer sourdough breads, granola, wholesome cookies, and seasonal fruit pies.
Our baked goods are CURRENTLY ONLY AVAILABLE AT OUR FARMER'S MARKET BOOTH & FOR CSA MEMBERS.
Most of our baking is made with sourdough cultures and long natural fermentation, to help make our breads more nutritious and digestable for you. We only use organic Manitoba grown flour, grains and seeds (Adagio Acres, DeRuyck's Top of the Hill Farm, Prairie Mills), local honey, and local eggs. Our pies use hand-picked Manitoba berries and fruit, as well as pumpkins and berries from our own farm. We like to include our own farm fresh eggs, herbs, vegetables and berries into our baking whenever we can. Non-locally sourced ingredients like olive oil and chocolate are high quality and organic. We strive to be a zero waste business, so baked goods are packaged in compostable containers or paper bags/boxes.
