About: Marigold (African) are vibrant tall plants with huge orange-yellow flowers. They make a wonderful companion plant in the garden beside vegetables, to attract beneficial insects, deter pests and add biodiversity. Marigold flowers are edible and can be used for cakes and garnishes in salads. They are also commonly used as a natural dye plant to create sunny yellows and oranges for dying wool and fabrics, or in bundle dying process. We like to start indoors 6-8 weeks in advance of growing season, or plant directly after last frost.
Organically grown here at Swallowtail Farmstead.
