About: The beautiful perennial yarrow is pest-resistant, hardy, easy to grow, and pollinator-attracting! It makes a lovely fresh cut flower or dried flower, and is traditionally used as a medicinal herb (teas, tinctures, salves, infused oils) often for wound healing or menstrual pain.

Start yarrow seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost date. Plant seedlings out after last frost risk is over. Yarrow will spread happily in the garden by it's many runners, so plant with enough space, or plan to divide the plants each fall season. It can also be planted to thrive in place of a lawn/meadow, on in an orchard as a companion plant to attract beneficial pollinators. Yarrow also attracts beneficial insects like ladybugs and hoverflies, and is used as a companion in vegetable gardens.

Organically grown here at Swallowtail Farmstead.

We are grateful for all those who have saved seeds, tended land, and passed on plant knowledge before us. We live on Treaty 1 territory, traditional territory of the Anishanaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene Peoples, and the National Homeland of the Red River Metis.
As a small act of reparation a portion of our farm proceeds is donated to Indigenous-led food security programs in Manitoba.

For all Farm Store orders you will receive an email with specific pick-up / delivery details.
