About: The beautiful perennial yarrow is pest-resistant, hardy, easy to grow, and pollinator-attracting! It makes a lovely fresh cut flower or dried flower, and is traditionally used as a medicinal herb (teas, tinctures, salves, infused oils) often for wound healing or menstrual pain.
Start yarrow seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost date. Plant seedlings out after last frost risk is over. Yarrow will spread happily in the garden by it's many runners, so plant with enough space, or plan to divide the plants each fall season. It can also be planted to thrive in place of a lawn/meadow, on in an orchard as a companion plant to attract beneficial pollinators.
Organically grown here at Swallowtail Farmstead.
