About: Beautiful Mexican Sunflower, grows 2-3 feet tall with vibrant red flowers, attracts a host of beneficial insects, birds and butterflies to your garden. The deep taproots help improve soil structure. Seeds should be started indoors 6-8 weeks ahead of last frost, and transplanted out as seedlings after last frost. Pinching the centre when plant is a foot tall, will help encourage sturdier bushier plants. Staking can be helpful to support taller plants.
