De Milpa Tomatillo - Heirloom variety


Heirloom from Mexico. Wonderful medium-sized tomatillo that is easy to grow. Green fruit ripen to dark purple blush. Stores incredibly well if kept in the papery husk (wrapped) after being picked. Annual but will readily self-seed.


Stronger sharper flavour than other tomatillos. The "preferred variety"! Wonderful for making traditional salsas (cooked or fresh salsa), roasting, soups, enchiladas, and more.

We are grateful for all those who have saved seeds, tended land, and passed on plant knowledge before us. We live on Treaty 1 territory, traditional territory of the Anishanaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene Peoples, and the National Homeland of the Red River Metis. 
As a small act of reparation a portion of our farm proceeds is donated to Indigenous-led food security programs in Manitoba.
