WORKSHOP POSTPONED
Please inquire to be added to our waiting list.
Come out for a fun relaxed hands-on afternoon of making botanical prints using the cyanotype and anthotype method. Also known as "sun printing", the cyanotype printing method is a lovely way to preserve an image similar to a "blue print". Anthotypes are images made with photosensitive extracts of plants (e.g. turmeric).
In this workshop we will be printing images of botanicals (flowers, leaves, feathers) picked & sourced right here at Swallowtail Farmstead, using both processes.
We will show you some of the botanical prints we have made. These can be used for making cards, pillows, bandanas, patches. We will talk about the processes, prepare the fabric, spend some time choosing botanicals, and then each participant will make two prints on cotton fabric to take home.
All supplies provided.
At time of registration, please let us know if you are bringing a child along.
1 adult + 1 child can register together for one fee to work together as a team.
Please note: This is an outdoor class, so please dress to be outdoors. This workshop can only happen on a sunny day so will be postponed in case of rain.
