Weave a Wild Wreath

with Jodi Hildebrand

Nov 8, 10 am-12 noon (date TO BE CONFIRMED)

Learn to make a gorgeous simple seasonal wreath using all natural plant materials.

We are excited to bring Winnipeg artist and willow weaver/basket maker Jodi Hildebrand here to facilitate a workshop on natural wreath making.

In this hands-on workshop each participant will be making one natural wreath, using willow and/or dogwood as the base, plus dried flowers from our farm, evergreens, and other lovely seasonal items foraged from this land/forest (seed pods, dried berries, pinecones, dried grasses, etc). This wreath will last you many months, and when you are done with it, simply compost and let it return to the earth.

What to bring: Please bring a set of hand pruners to work with. Also dress warmly for the weather. THIS IS AN OUTDOOR WORKSHOP. Depending on the weather we will either work outside near a fire, or in our unheated greenhouse space.

Workshop fee includes all instructions and wreath materials. Warm herbal tea and light refreshments will be served.

More details and directions to our farm will be provided to participants upon registration.

Allergies: Please notify Karin in advance if you have any concerns about allergies. This is a nut-free, gluten-free and vegan-friendly workshop.

Cancellation policy: If we need to cancel the workshop due to low registration or weather conditions we will give 48 hours notice and a full refund. If participants need to cancel please give 48 hours notice for full refund. Thank you!

We are grateful for all those who have saved seeds, tended land, and passed on plant knowledge before us. We live on Treaty 1 territory, traditional territory of the Anishanaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene Peoples, and the National Homeland of the Red River Metis.
As a small act of reparation a portion of our farm proceeds is donated to Indigenous-led food security programs in Manitoba.

For all Farm Store orders you will receive an email with specific pick-up / delivery details.
