2026
fall root & pantry shares

Fall Root & Pantry Shares

HOW DOES THIS WORK:
These are hardy storage crops that keep well in a pantry, cold room, garage, or freezer - e.g. cured onions, garlic, winter squash, potatoes, kale, carrots etc.  We realize that not everyone has storage capacity for bulk veggies, so instead of a one-size share we will have an order form where you can curate exactly what you need from our fall root & pantry offerings.  We will also include notes on how to best store each item.

WHEN & WHAT:
After our main CSA season is over, we will have one opportunity in Early October to stock up on extra fall/winter veggies.  Items will include
  • roots like onions, garlic, carrots, beets, potatoes;
  • hardy greens like kale, endive, cabbages and bok choy;
  • winter squash & pumpkins;
  • shelf-stable pantry items like pickles, preserves, applesauce, honey;
  • dried goods like dried beans, popcorn, local organic flour, herbed salts, and farmgrown herbal teas;
  • there may still be farm eggs, romas, flowers, and herbs (weather dependent)

TO FIND OUT MORE & ORDER:
Join the Fall Root & Pantry Share list below. In early fall you will receive details about the share, and a link to an order form so you can order the quantities you need (based on availability).  This is a custom built "share" that you can curate to suit your personal eating needs and food storage capacity.  All orders must be paid in full before picking up.  Pick-up will be at our farm location, with delivery options to Winnipeg for an additional delivery fee.

We are grateful for all those who have saved seeds, tended land, and passed on plant knowledge before us. We live on Treaty 1 territory, traditional territory of the Anishanaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene Peoples, and the National Homeland of the Red River Metis.
As a small act of reparation a portion of our farm proceeds is donated to Indigenous-led food security programs in Manitoba.

For all Farm Store orders you will receive an email with specific pick-up / delivery details.
